Surveillance of muddy river flow by telemetry system
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper shows the dynamic characteristic evaluation system to monitor muddy river flow by video image. The dynamic character is evaluated by the flow speed and direction in each small block distinguished evenly on a video frame. By evaluating dynamic character of river surface, water behavior and dangerous area will be distinguished. Aim of this study is to discover the dangerous area, to presume disasters and to inform local or national government and alarm people.

An Ecohydraulic Model to Identify and Monitor Moapa Dace Habitat
Moapa dace (Moapa coriacea) is a critically endangered thermophilic minnow native to the Muddy River ecosystem in southeastern Nevada, USA. Restricted to temperatures between 26.0 and 32.0 °C, these fish are constrained to the upper two km of the Muddy River and several small tributaries fed by warm springs. Habitat alterations, nonnative species invasion, and water withdrawals during the 20th ...

Non-native lake trout, Salvelinus namaycush (Walbaum), threaten native salmonid populations in the western United States. Effective management of lake trout requires understanding movements within connected lake and river systems. This study determined the seasonal movements of subadult lake trout in the Flathead River upstream of Flathead Lake, Montana, USA using radio telemetry. The spatiotem...
متن کاملHybrid Models Performance Assessment to Predict Flow of Gamasyab River
Awareness of the level of river flow and its fluctuations at different times is one of the significant factor to achieve sustainable development for water resource issues. Therefore, the present study two hybrid models, Wavelet- Adaptive Neural Fuzzy Interference System (WANFIS) and Wavelet- Artificial Neural Network (WANN) are used for flow prediction of Gamasyab River (Nahavand, Hamedan, Iran...
متن کامل1 Is the Muddy Creek Food Web Affected by Coalbed Natural Gas Inputs ?
The Muddy Creek watershed is a unique ecosystem because the stream contains a distinctive fish assemblage, is physically degraded, and will soon be influenced by oil and gas development. Separating the effects of multiple stressors can be challenging; however, having prior data can be very useful in determining the influence of different stressors. In our study, we attempted to separate the eff...
متن کاملGenomics and telemetry suggest a role for migration harshness in determining overwintering habitat choice, but not gene flow, in anadromous Arctic Char.
Migration is a ubiquitous life history trait with profound evolutionary and ecological consequences. Recent developments in telemetry and genomics, when combined, can bring significant insights on the migratory ecology of nonmodel organisms in the wild. Here, we used this integrative approach to document dispersal, gene flow and potential for local adaptation in anadromous Arctic Char from six ...
